Refund Policy
1. Our Approach
SEO Logbook delivers professional SEO work and stands behind its quality. Our refund policy is fair to both sides: we invest real time and expertise in every project, but we also take seriously any situation where a client feels the work did not meet what was described.
We do not have a blanket no-refund policy. We have a structured one based on how far into a project we are when an issue arises.
2. Full Refund: Cancellation Before Work Begins
You are eligible for a full refund if ALL of the following apply:
- You contact us within 24 hours of placing your order
- No onboarding email or access request has been sent to you yet
- We have not begun any analysis, research, or tracking setup for your project
To request a pre-work cancellation, email billing@seologbook.com with subject "Cancellation - [Your Order Reference]" within 24 hours of payment.
3. Partial Refund: Work In Progress
If work has begun (onboarding initiated, access requested, or analysis started), the following partial refund schedule applies:
- Less than 25% complete: 50% refund of the amount paid
- 25% to 50% complete: 25% refund of the amount paid
- More than 50% complete: No refund. We will complete and deliver the full scope of work.
Completion percentage is determined by our internal project tracking system and will be communicated clearly when we review your request. We aim to be transparent about where we are in each project at all times.
4. After Delivery
Once a deliverable has been sent to your email, no refund is available based on change of mind or a general decision not to proceed with SEO work.
However, if the delivered work clearly fails to meet what was described in the package, a post-delivery remedy is available. We will review and address the following:
- The deliverable does not cover the scope described for your package
- Technical findings contain verifiable factual errors
- Delivery occurred significantly outside the stated timeframe without prior notification
In these cases, we will correct and redeliver the affected portions, offer a partial credit toward future work, or in clear cases of non-delivery, issue a full refund. Post-delivery remedy requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your deliverable.
5. Quality Disputes
SEO involves professional judgment. Different practitioners may have different approaches and recommendations. We do not issue refunds based on disagreement with our strategic recommendations alone.
If you believe a specific technical finding in our report is factually incorrect (e.g., we flagged a canonical issue that does not exist on your site), submit the specific concern within 7 days of delivery and we will review it at no charge and correct any verified errors.
6. Non-Refundable Add-Ons
The following add-on items are non-refundable once activated or delivered:
- Weekly report runs that have been generated and sent
- Heatmap analysis sessions that have been initiated
- Local citation placements that have been submitted
- Competitor monitoring setups that have been activated
- Any add-on where the refund request is submitted more than 14 days after delivery
7. Hourly Support Sessions
Hourly support hours are non-refundable once a session has been conducted. If you purchased hours and no session has been conducted, you may request cancellation of remaining unused hours and receive a prorated refund within 14 days of purchase.
8. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us directly at billing@seologbook.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication. Unjustified chargebacks may result in documentation being submitted to Stripe and your card issuer as part of the dispute process.
9. How to Request a Refund
- Email billing@seologbook.com with subject: "Refund Request - [Order Reference]"
- Include your name, email at checkout, order date, and a description of the issue
- We will acknowledge within 1 business day and provide a decision within 3 business days
10. Processing Time
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. Processing takes 5 to 10 business days from approval, depending on your card issuer or bank. Stripe processing fees are absorbed by us and not deducted from your refund amount.
