We provide SEO services including rank tracking, on-page optimization, consulting, content optimization, Google Business Profile management, and penalty recovery, all delivered digitally.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. We have written it to be readable, not just legally sound.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Give Us

When you submit a contact form, place an order, or reach out by email, we collect:

  • Identity: first name, last name, company name (if provided)
  • Contact details: email address, phone number
  • Business context: website URL, current SEO concerns, business goals
  • Order data: services selected, package configuration, transaction references
  • Communications: emails and messages between you and our team

We do not handle payment card data directly. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. See stripe.com/privacy for Stripe's data practices.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

When you browse seologbook.com, our server and analytics tools collect:

  • IP address and general geographic location (country or region)
  • Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Pages visited, time on each page, exit page
  • Referring URL (where you came from)
  • Cookie identifiers (subject to your consent choice)

This data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the site. We do not link it to your identity.

2.3 From Third Parties

When you complete payment through Stripe, Stripe may share transaction confirmation data with us: payment status, order reference, and email used at checkout. We do not receive your card number, CVV, or full billing details.

If you grant us access to Google Search Console or Google Analytics as part of a service engagement, we use that access solely to perform the analysis work you hired us for. We do not retain access after the project is complete.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Delivering services: performing rank tracking, SEO analysis, content optimization, or other purchased work, and sending you the results
  • Order management: processing payments, issuing invoices, maintaining transaction records
  • Client communication: onboarding, project updates, delivery notifications, and follow-up
  • Support: responding to questions and resolving issues
  • Legal compliance: maintaining financial records as required by US tax law (minimum 7 years)
  • Site improvement: analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve content and navigation
  • Security: detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive activity

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, advertising, or sale to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance: necessary to deliver purchased services
  • Legitimate interests: responding to inquiries, site improvement, business record-keeping
  • Legal obligation: financial record retention under applicable law
  • Consent: analytics and non-essential cookies, based on your banner choice

5. Sharing Your Information

We share your data only as necessary and never for advertising purposes:

  • Stripe: for secure payment processing
  • Email delivery services: to send transactional emails (onboarding, order confirmations). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and cannot use your data independently.
  • Legal process: if required by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law
  • Business succession: in the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer. We would notify active clients in advance.

6. Data Retention

  • Active project data: retained throughout the engagement plus 12 months
  • Transaction records: retained 7 years for tax compliance
  • Inquiry data (non-clients): deleted after 12 months of inactivity
  • Analytics data: aggregated and anonymized, retained indefinitely in aggregate form
  • Server logs: 90 days

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information
  • Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Port your data in a common machine-readable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent for cookie-based processing at any time

8. Security

We protect your data through:

  • SSL/TLS encryption on all data transmitted to and from seologbook.com
  • Restricted access to client data within our team
  • Payment handling entirely through Stripe (no card data on our servers)
  • Periodic access reviews for internal systems

No internet transmission is perfectly secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact hello@seologbook.com immediately and we will delete it.
