The Logbook Process

Five stages. Every stage documented. You will always know exactly where things stand and what is coming next.

01

Intake & Audit

We start with a full baseline: technical audit, keyword landscape, competitor analysis, and backlink inventory. You receive a written summary before any paid work begins.

02

Strategy Document

Every client gets a written strategy document. Not a slide deck, not a vague roadmap, but a prioritized list of actions tied to specific expected outcomes.

03

Implementation

We implement agreed actions directly or hand off detailed tickets to your dev team. Every change is documented with the reason, the method, and the expected result.

04

Track and Log

Weekly ranking reports, monthly traffic analysis, quarterly strategy reviews. The logbook grows. You always have a complete picture of what has been done and what it produced.

05

Iterate and Compound

Month-over-month we adjust based on what the data shows. Good SEO compounds. Strategies that work get doubled down on. Things that do not move the needle get replaced.

The Logbook

What is actually in the logbook?

The logbook is a living document, not a monthly PDF that arrives in your inbox and never gets read again. Here is what it contains.

01
Session entries

Date-stamped entries for every work session showing what was worked on, what was found, and what decisions were made.

02
Keyword position history

Weekly snapshots of all tracked keywords preserved in full. Position on date X versus position on date Y with context.

03
Technical change log

Every technical SEO change: page modified, change made, reason, expected outcome. Reviewable by your dev team at any time.

04
Test and experiment results

When we test something (a title tag variant, a schema change, an internal link addition), the result gets logged regardless of whether it worked.

05
Competitor movement notes

Significant moves by competitors in your keyword space are flagged and noted with strategic implications.

06
Monthly strategy notes

What we are focusing on next month, why, and what we are expecting from the current month's work.

What Clients Say

On working with a documented process

I have had two SEO companies before SEO Logbook and neither one ever showed me what they were actually doing. These guys send me a log every month showing exactly what changed, what they found, and what comes next. My phone rings from organic search for the first time in my business's history.

Our paid acquisition costs were destroying our CAC ratios. Switching a significant portion of budget to SEO via this team was the right call. The discipline they apply to tracking attribution made it easy to defend the investment to the board.
